When uni CSB plastic modular belt was introduced at a Breeze Thru Car Wash in 2012, the original design target was set as one million washed vehicles per belt.

Today, we’re proud to report that milestone has been surpassed – by a wide margin.

52% more than the one-million design target

That record was set at a Breeze Thru Car Wash location in Colorado. With over 1.52 million vehicles processed on a single belt using a single set of drive sprockets, the uni CSB still has service life remaining.

The uni CSB belt has proven to be very resilient – all the more impressive given the intensity of Breeze Thru’s operation: 16 locations, ISO 9001:2015-certified maintenance, and more than 2,800 maintenance tasks carried out every day.

Unique properties of uni CSB

uni CSB was built for demanding, high-load environments  – so its longevity is no accident. Several design decisions work together to extend belt life and reduce total cost of ownership.

The uni CSB is a plastic modular conveyor belt specifically engineered for the demanding conditions of the carwash applications.

At its core is Dual Compound Technology (DCT): a unique approach that combines two different materials within one belt link. This allows electrically conductive and flame-retardant properties to be added to the belt through cost-efficient inserts without compromising belt pull as usual.

Long belt life is further supported by a high contact area, an innovative belt bottom design, and wear-resistant wheel plate inserts for less bottom wear at high surface pressure.

Together, these features minimise mechanical complexity and make routine maintenance faster and more predictable.

Introducing the extended heat resistant Duratemp belt range for oven in-feeder and take off applications

We’re excited to announce a significant extension of our Duratemp heat-resistant belt range — it is now also available in light blue, alongside with the existing white variant.

Why light blue matters in food processing

In food processing environments, blue holds a unique position. Because blue is one of the rarest colors found in natural foods, light blue belts make foreign particle detection significantly easier. Blue color stands out against brown bread, pastries, and other baked goods, allowing both visual inspection teams and detection systems to identify contamination quickly.

The Duratemp belt: specifically made for oven in feeder & take-off

Das Duratemp belt has been specifically developed for the baking and heating processes — one of the most challenging environments in any bakery line.

Key characteristics include resistance to elevated temperatures — working temperatures of 115°c with peaks up to 130°c — reliable product transfer at oven outfeed, a matt top cover finish for sticky products, and suitability for very small knife edges that enables smooth transitions in compact conveyor designs.

Both the white and light blue Duratemp variants are fully approved for direct food contact processing in bakery applications, meaning you can choose the color that best fits your facility’s standards and visual preferences without any compromise on compliance or performance.

Let’s solve your baking challenges together

Heat resistance ranks among the bakery industry’s most demanding challenges. Conveyor belts must endure continuous heat exposure without browning effect. under sustained high temperatures, traditional belts frequently fall short, due to degradation, maintenance issues, and food safety concerns.

Duratemp’s purpose-designed features ensure top performance and durability.

Buford, GA (DATE, 2026) – AMMEGA Group, a global leader in conveying and power transmission solutions, today announced expanded capabilities at its Buford, Georgia facility, now the company’s first global site to exclusively produce water-based polyurethane (PU) belts. As part of AMMEGA’s broader U.S. investment across its leading brands, Ammeraal Beltech and Megadyne, the state-of-the-art Buford facility strengthens domestic production capacity. This enables faster lead times, greater supply chain resilience and highly technical, tailored support for distribution partners and OEMs.

“To remain the local partner of choice for belting solutions and help our customers maintain their competitive edge, we must not only keep pace with industry trends but also anticipate them,” said Bobby Bauman, Director – Global Product Line Management Friction Driven at AMMEGA. “The capabilities at our Buford facility address customer needs while also advancing their broader business and sustainability objectives.”

While AMMEGA Group’s global facilities in the Netherlands and China already use water-based adhesives for some solutions, the Buford facility has established a new benchmark by becoming the first synthetic facility worldwide to exclusively implement water-based adhesives. This innovation significantly reduces atmospheric pollution, as it replaces chemical carriers like toluene or acetone with water. These aqueous adhesives also improve biodegradability, as they’re broken down through natural processes, and overall sustainability efforts because they are easier to treat in wastewater systems. While this local implementation involves significant innovation and goes beyond simply applying technology and raw materials proven at other AMMEGA Group plants, it also anticipates future regulatory needs. Europe is already mandating that these chemical materials be outlawed, through VOC and REACH regulations, though local facilities currently lack the capability to meet those coming requirements.

AMMEGA’s national footprint includes 14 warehouses, eight customer solutions centers, five manufacturing facilities and three fabrication sites. In the past five years, AMMEGA has invested more than $100 million to expand U.S. production, warehousing and service capabilities through its Built American Proud initiative – strengthening business agility, supply chain resilience and sustainability for customers nationwide.

This sustained investment reflects AMMEGA’s long-standing confidence in American manufacturing and its dedication to supporting domestic industry. As the United States approaches its 250th anniversary in 2026, the company’s continued expansion underscores its belief in the future of U.S. manufacturing and the communities it serves.

AMMEGA’s local presence ensures shorter lead times and reduced carbon footprint due to shorter shipping distances, fostering speed and quality from door to door. To learn more about AMMEGA and their local footprint, please visit: https://ammega.com/americas/

Our new smart belt monitoring solution – AMMcare Connect

Have you ever missed a sign that something is wrong with your belt?

Perhaps you’ve noticed too high belt temperature too late. Or haven’t realized there are anomalies in belt speed or vibration. Nevertheless, the belt had to be repaired or replaced, which resulted in downtime and unplanned costs.

Now, imagine you have a solution that monitor belt speed, distance and history in a live dashboard and receive notifications with alerts. You get a chance to act before it’s too late and prevent downtime.

That was what we had in mind when we came up with our latest digital innovation in predictive maintenance – AMMcare Connect.

Belt monitoring system – how it transforms belt maintenance

AMMcare Connect is a smart belting solution which allows you to track the key measurements in real time and monitor belt performance and condition.

Instead of waiting for equipment to break down or relying on fixed service intervals, you can now take advantage of digital belt maintenance tools.

How exactly AMMcare Connect makes it possible?

How does smart belting solution work?

AMMcare Connect integrates RFID chips in the conveyor belts. This allows us to measure belt speed, belt distance and other key performance indicators.

It’s the first smart belting solution in the light- and medium conveyor industry!

Our solution enables real-time tracking of belt speed, slippage, temperature, vibration, and operating history through a powerful, user-friendly live dashboard.

imageqvgfl.webp

A screenshot of the dashboard showing one of the field tests at a customer site

How to install AMMcare Connect?

AMMcare Connect is a solution which can be retrofitted easily to existing conveyors; it does not require a connection to the machine and its controller. It can be installed quickly, operates independently and does not allow operational changes remotely to ensure peace of mind when it comes to security and business continuity.

It’s a secure solution. Connected belt has encryption built in all devices, services and endpoints. Authentication is done through Microsoft’s Azure B2C and supports Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).

Once installed, you can give access to all stakeholders that inspect, maintain and manage conveyors. They will get access to a dashboard for live monitoring and issue analysis and receive an email when thresholds are being exceeded at the conveyor.
