A coating is the functional outer layer applied to one or both sides of a synthetic conveyor belt. It provides specific surface properties such as grip, wear resistance, chemical resistance, and suitability for different conveying applications.
The coatings used on synthetic belts are called polymers and can be made of various materials which have influence on the suitability of the belt in a certain application.
Polymere lassen sich in zwei verschiedene Gruppen unterteilen: Thermoplaste oder Duroplaste.
