In the Food Industry, nothing is more important than Food Safety. Contamination can lead to product recalls and loss of public confidence in the food brand. Ammeraal Beltech has been a leader in belting solutions for the Food Industry, promoting Food Safety with better belting concepts, including non-fray synthetic belts; Amseal belts, with closed belt edges; and innovative AntiMicrobial belts. Now, we’ve added the brand new Dectyl range of metal-detectable synthetic belts and accessories to that list!

Metal detection technology and metal-detectable belts are an important part of Food Safety, helping companies meet the required Foreign Bodies Risk Assessment (HACCP/ISO 22000) and preventing belt fragments from slipping through as contaminants on food production lines. The Dectyl belt range, with synthetic belts and their accessories, has a highly detectable component in its composite material. What’s more, these high-performance belts with excellent wear resistance are designed to replace existing non-detectable belts on a 1:1 basis, so it’s quick and easy for end users to switch over.

How accurate any metal detectable system is, depends on many factors, including the size and composition of the food product, conveyor belt speed, belt surface vibration, the type of detector used and how it’s been calibrated. The new Dectyl belt range comes with a unique set of test cards so that the minimum detectable size of a Dectyl belting part for any system can be determined under actual working conditions; with the help of these test cards, the detection system can then be optimised through recalibration or other adjustments. After all, if you’re going to have a metal detectable system, shouldn’t it be as efficient as possible?

Smooth Drive – High Speed – Superior Performance

For everyone who dislikes downtime, the new black Light Roller Drive Belts, available in a number of standard thicknesses, ranging from 1.6 mm to 4.5 mm, offer reliably efficient performance over a long service life. Made with Fabric tensile members, the belts are impervious to moisture and display exceptional dimensional stability.


Like other RAPPLON® belts, the Light and Heavy Duty Roller Drive black Belts are permanently anti-static, so they aren’t prone to maintenance issues such as those stemming from dust build-up. They’re also designed as QuickSplice belts, making any splice as simple and as quick to do as possible, with failure-free joints and a seam area that results in uniform thickness over the entire length of the belt.

The new range of Elastic Belts are designed for slider-bed applications or belt-over-roller conveyors, and can run bi-directionally, making them ideal for use with AGV robot load-carriers, enabling next-generation logistics robots to load or unload goods in advanced fulfilment centres or warehouses. What’s more, they’re extremely energy-efficient.

Eindverwerking – Verrijken, vriezen en inpakken

Aan het eind van het verwerkingsproces van aardappels en groente wordt het product klaargemaakt voor verkoop en gebruik. Dit betekent bijvoorbeeld dat producten gekruid worden, salades gemengd, pizza’s belegd, friet bevroren en dat alles natuurlijk wordt verpakt. Ook in deze fase speelt transport een belangrijk rol.

Voor beleggen kan positionering bijvoorbeeld essentieel zijn. Onze voedsel goedkeurde Permaline banden worden met klantspecifieke print geleverd en onze Ultrasync lijn geeft de mogelijkheid om te positioneren met tandriemen tot een meter breed.

Bevroren producten worden getransporteerd op slijtvaste en koudebestendige banden, zoals Polyurethaan banden met 60 shD hardheid of onze unieke Non-breakable wear-resistant schakelbanden.

Blancheren, drogen en bakken

Voor toepassingen bij het blancheren, drogen of bakken leveren we specifiek ontwikkelde banden.

This announcement is particularly exciting because it follows last month’s news of the companies plan for a new multi-phased greenfield conveyor belt production plant in Buford, GA.

  • Soliflex banden vormen de ultieme oplossing op het gebied van hygiëne waarbij de voordelen van een positief aangedreven en volledig gesloten band zijn verenigd.
  • De Flexam en Nonex Food-Grade varianten van onze Synthetische banden zijn bij uitstek geschikt voor het transporteren van verse producten.
  • Op het gebied van schakelbanden is eveneens een specifiek ontworpen productenpakket beschikbaar. De BLB schakelband is bedoeld voor blancheren, koelen in combinatie met ontwateren. De (open) Flex ASB bochtbanden worden eveneens veelvuldig toegepast voor het transport van producten.

Sorteren en Kistenvullers

Bij het sorteren komt de combinatie van synthetische traditionele groene banden of de nieuwe blauwe Flexam lijn goed samen met onze rubber U-Chevronbanden.

Ammeraal Beltech, a member of the AMMEGA Group and a leading global manufacturer of Lightweight Conveyor Belting, has announced plans for a new multi-phased greenfield production plant in Buford, Georgia.

This manufacturing expansion supports the projected growth of Ammeraal Beltech in the Americas region. The state-of-the-art facility will produce a full range of Synthetic Conveyor Belts.

“We are excited to expand our Americas’ infrastructure to provide a new level of service and response to our distributor and OEM customer base”, according to Niels van den Boogert, Vice President and General Manager of the Ammeraal Beltech Conveying Solutions business.

Currently, Ammeraal Beltech has US operations in Skokie IL, Reading PA, Jefferson PA, and Grand Prairie TX.

Manufacturing in Buford is slated to begin this Fall and hiring for this site is underway.

Manufacturing of RAPPLON® High Performance Flat Belts is our competence since the late 50s, always located in Rapperswil-Jona, Switzerland.

RAPPLON® as a trademark is registered since 1957, when a wide range of Polyamide core belts have been launched.

In 1993 a new production plant was built to apply new technologies and set new quality standards, considering future market demands. The history of QuickSplice items started soon after.

One of our goals in 2021 was to republish our brand for High Performance Flat Belts and promote our pride in it as well as the origin and quality of the products. For this reason, it is with great pride and pleasure that we can now present our new RAPPLON® logo — trademarked and registered since beginning of January 2021.

For the lettering, rounded letters were used to emphasise the flexibility of our products and their wide application range.

Additionally the logo is colour divided to highlight the wordplay of:

  • RAPPerswil (hometown in Switzerland)
  • and nyLON (the tensile member material which boosted the flat belt business).
