Our new smart belt monitoring solution – AMMcare Connect

Have you ever missed a sign that something is wrong with your belt?

Perhaps you’ve noticed too high belt temperature too late. Or haven’t realized there are anomalies in belt speed or vibration. Nevertheless, the belt had to be repaired or replaced, which resulted in downtime and unplanned costs.

Now, imagine you have a solution that monitor belt speed, distance and history in a live dashboard and receive notifications with alerts. You get a chance to act before it’s too late and prevent downtime.

That was what we had in mind when we came up with our latest digital innovation in predictive maintenance – AMMcare Connect.

Belt monitoring system – how it transforms belt maintenance

AMMcare Connect is a smart belting solution which allows you to track the key measurements in real time and monitor belt performance and condition.

Instead of waiting for equipment to break down or relying on fixed service intervals, you can now take advantage of digital belt maintenance tools.

How exactly AMMcare Connect makes it possible?

How does smart belting solution work?

AMMcare Connect integrates RFID chips in the conveyor belts. This allows us to measure belt speed, belt distance and other key performance indicators.

It’s the first smart belting solution in the light- and medium conveyor industry!

Our solution enables real-time tracking of belt speed, slippage, temperature, vibration, and operating history through a powerful, user-friendly live dashboard.

How to install AMMcare Connect?

AMMcare Connect is a solution which can be retrofitted easily to existing conveyors; it does not require a connection to the machine and its controller. It can be installed quickly, operates independently and does not allow operational changes remotely to ensure peace of mind when it comes to security and business continuity.

It’s a secure solution. Connected belt has encryption built in all devices, services and endpoints. Authentication is done through Microsoft’s Azure B2C and supports Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).

Once installed, you can give access to all stakeholders that inspect, maintain and manage conveyors. They will get access to a dashboard for live monitoring and issue analysis and receive an email when thresholds are being exceeded at the conveyor.

Ammeraal Beltech: Leading the Way with Localized PU Production Built American Proud

Ammeraal Beltech continues to set the standard for industry innovation and service excellence through our Built American Proud initiative, reinforcing our commitment to customers, local communities, and American job growth. By localizing our Polyurethane (PU) belt production in Buford, Georgia, we offer our distribution partners and OEMs unmatched security and speed while meeting strict domestic manufacturing requirements. This investment is a cornerstone of the AMMEGA Group’s dedication to American manufacturing, ensuring that our partners receive high-performance products built right here at home.

To ensure peak quality, our Buford facility utilizes the same proven technology and raw materials trusted in many of our manufacturing plants. This includes our advanced dip coating fabric impregnation line, designed to prevent the absorption of water, fats, and external contaminants, as well as PU powder knife coating for all covers.

Setting a new global benchmark, Buford is the first AMMEGA Group synthetic facility in the world to exclusively produce water-based polyurethane (PU) belts. While AMMEGA Group’s global facilities in the Netherlands and China already use water-based adhesives for some solutions, the Buford facility has established a new benchmark by becoming the first synthetic facility worldwide to exclusively implement water-based adhesives. By using water as the carrier instead of chemicals like toluene or acetone, we significantly cut atmospheric pollution and improve biodegradability, as these aqueous adhesives are easier to treat in wastewater systems.

By combining these sustainable, world-first innovations with our time-tested local production, we provide a reliable, high-performance solution that brings global excellence to the American market—ensuring our facility is sustainable while maintaining the uncompromising product quality and performance our customers expect.

The Strategic Advantage of Local Production

In a time when international trade is defined by uncertainty, Ammeraal Beltech provides a stable, domestic solution designed to keep your business moving.

✅Drastic Lead Time Reduction: Our Buford facility specializes in our classic range of PU products, reducing lead times to an average of just 4 weeks. This local capability allows for faster turnarounds and greater operational agility.

✅ Rapid Stock Availability: Efficiency is backed by our Franklin Park, Illinois location where we maintain a robust stock of standard PU belt models, ensuring they are ready to ship in as little as one week, minimizing downtime and providing a critical safety net for urgent replacements.

✅Reducing Trade Risks: By sourcing locally, you bypass international tariffs, customs delays, and the volatility of trans-continental shipping, ensuring long-term price stability.

Soft separation is one of the most demanding stages in food processing. The right belt can determine everything from product yield to food-safety performance. We’re excited to expand our portfolio with a new, highly durable Amsqueeze RS separator belt, designed for high-capacity and high-force machines.

Why is Amsqueeze RS a crucial addition to the Amsqueeze belt series?

Amsqueeze belts are process belts used across the meat, poultry, fish, and broader food industry to separate soft material from harder components. They help create base products for hamburgers, sausages, fish sticks, chicken burgers, and more, and are also widely used for de-packing and waste recovery. This includes:

  • Desinewing meat parts,
  • Recovering meat from bones and cartilage,
  • Producing fish mince,
  • Extracting pulp and juice from fruits and vegetables,
  • Separating usable product from packaging during de-packing.

The Amsqueeze RS (Resilient) variant was designed especially for high-capacity and high-force separators (such as pork or turkey processing). The RS version has been developed for the high-pressure soft separating machines. To achieve this, we added a combination of different coating, reinformed fabrics, and a new Chevron profile.

The capabilities include:

  • Endless woven fabric prevents elongation, while the open structure ensures excellent adhesion and eliminates delamination.
  • Bottom Chevron helps release meat trapped between the drum and the belt, improving food safety and preventing slippage.
  • Special diamond profile (Ammeraal A93) gives you high grip on fatty products.
  • New TPU formulation increases resistance to cuts and ruptures, extending belt lifetime.

Find out more about the new expansion to the AmSqueeze tässä.

In corrugated board production, every minute counts. One hour of downtime can cost between €3,000 and €5,000 in lost output – and nowhere is this risk higher than in the bridge raiser section.

At this process step of corrugated production, belts face extreme operating conditions: 90% humidity, 90°C temperatures, and speeds over 500 m/min. Replacing a belt is complex, time-consuming, and costly.

Many producers rely on mechanical fasteners to reduce downtime. But fasteners come with trade-offs: they create weak points, risk damaging pulleys and boards, and shorten belt lifetime.

We knew there had to be a better way.

Meet ZipLink® – splice-free, fastener-free, stress-free

Proudly developed and produced in Jona, Switzerland, our new ZipLink® ZLFA056427 – Fabric EZP 10/1 01+0 Natural is purpose-built for the bridge raiser.

With its innovative splice-free design, installation is fast, simple, and safe.

What makes it different?

  • Quick installation, as with all our ZipLink® belts. Join the belt within minutes using standard tools, no chemicals or electricity needed. No metal fasteners, no weak points
  • Proven durability – withstands 90°C and 90% humidity without stretching, delamination, glassing or cracking
  • Smooth cotton fabric on transport side, providing gentle transport surface
  • Black rubber on bottom side, providing positive grip on rollers

By eliminating weak points, ensuring dimensional stability, and delivering the industry’s longest service life, ZipLink® helps you:

  • Minimize downtime and replacement costs
  • Maintain consistent performance and friction throughout the belt’s lifetime
  • Protect corrugated boards
  • Gain full control over web movement, even in the toughest environments
