We are thrilled to announce the installation of a photovoltaic system at our facility in Ammeraal Beltech Czech Republic. This step marks a significant milestone in our sustainability journey.

Why solar energy?

Our EFB (European Fabrication Center) and CSC (Customer Solution Center) facilities in Czech Republic consume approximately 1.2 GWh of electric energy annually, which translates to 1.178 tons of CO₂ per year. To address this environmental challenge and reduce our carbon footprint, we’ve embraced change and introduced a renewable energy system.

What we’ve done

We’ve installed a 459 kWp photovoltaic system on the industrial buildings of EuroFab and CSC. This advanced solar installation is designed to meet the high energy demands of industrial operations, reducing reliance on traditional energy sources.

By utilizing clean, renewable solar power, the project will significantly lower operational energy costs while also supporting sustainability goals.

What we expect

The PV system is designed to deliver measurable results:

Annual electricity production: 430 MWh of clean, renewable energy.

CO₂ reduction: Cutting emissions by 422 tons per year.

–  Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) compliance: making our business more environmentally friendly and sustainable.

This initiative will cover a substantial portion of our energy needs, significantly reducing our reliance on traditional energy sources while contributing to global efforts to combat climate change.

For Ammeraal Beltech, sustainability is a priority. With every innovation and new solution we come up with, we always think of ways to impact the world around us positively. Our newest concept – Circle Links is the future of sustainable modular belting solutions.

The future of the industry

Sustainable thinking is the foundation of our brand, and we always consider it. The newest concept we are happy to introduce is the key to revolutionising the world of belting as we know it. During their intense life cycle, belts can be damaged or worn down by hard usage, and, after some time, rendered useless. At the end of this cycle, belts are thrown away as they have no further application. But what if that was not the end of their journey?

The concept of recycling is no longer a novelty, but the idea of recycling conveyor belts and reusing the polymers as products in corrugated applications – is something a little different.

How does it work?

The concept of Circle Links is split into three steps. First, we collect the damaged and worn-down belts instead of disposing them. This part of the process assumes that the old belts do not contribute to the waste littering our planet, but instead, they are given a second life. Next, we use the patented technology for plastic resin sorting to recycle the belt. Finally, the recycled polymer material is reused in a new link with up to 100% recycled material.

Sustainability is the new goal

Through recycling and reusing the polymers in new belts and products, we are ensuring that the plastic materials do not pollute our planet, but instead are given a second life. We believe that circularity is the new standard, which is going to set the expectations and redefine the industry. Furthermore, there is no compromise on the quality of belts when compared to the standard materials.

If you’re looking for ways to improve the EcoVadis rating of your organisation and become a sustainability leader in your industry, Circle Links is the perfect solution.

Lentoasemat and logistics industries are facing growing pressure to reduce energy consumption and emissions. As concern over climate change grows, there is a greater emphasis on reducing the environmental impact of the industries contributing to greenhouse gas emissions, primarily due to the burning of fossil fuels for transportation. Sustainability is not just a trend, but rather necessity for any business that cares about long-term viability and resilience.

Keeping that in mind, we came up with the idea for a new conveyor belt that offers businesses an opportunity to reduce their carbon footprint and, at the same time, optimise their operational efficiency.

We are excited to introduce a groundbreaking conveyor belt that combines cutting-edge technology and eco-conscious designAMMdurance rPET.

Positive impact on the planet, society, and business

There are three main benefits that AMMdurance rPET provides.

It all begins with the product’s creation, for this innovative new belt incorporates fabric produced from PET bottles. For every square metre of this new product, 14 PET bottles of 1.5 litres each are recycled.  By utilising discarded plastic bottles and transforming them into high-quality fabric, AMMdurance rPET reduces CO2 emissions by 70% compared to the production of a standard synthetic belt, making it a plastic recycling champion.

AMMdurance rPET advanced design incorporates noise-reducing properties. When implemented in airports, the belt helps to significantly lower noise levels generated during operation, improving working conditions of airport operators and allowing them to hear important announcements without difficulties.

We should also mention that AMMdurance rPET maintains the high-quality performance you’ve come to expect from Ammeraal Beltech products. You don’t have to compromise on performance while enabling sustainable practices. The AMMdurance rPET low-noise fabric reduces friction between the belt and the underlying machinery, resulting in reduced power usage and longer belt life. At the same time, special dry treatment in conjunction with EX fabrics protects the belt’s material preventing contamination and subsequent shrinkage. It all minimises maintenance and downtime, helping you to save energy and reduce operational costs.

A game-changer in the conveyor belt industry

AMMdurance rPET represents our commitment to sustainable practices and environmental stewardship. It guarantees superior, long-term endurance combined with stable, long-lasting performance. By investing in this innovative product, you can demonstrate your company’s commitment to sustainability and enhance your standing in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) while also achieving better business results and ensuring a comfortable working environment.
